Ask for the complete written estimate, what coverage is included or available, how stairs and access affect the plan, and what could change the final cost.
Equipment & vehicle rentals
Availability, mileage, fuel, equipment, pickup location, return location, and protection options can all affect the practical fit.
Boxes, tape & packing supplies
Purpose-made boxes can help with dishes, clothing, televisions, mirrors, and other awkward items. Local reuse options may reduce cost and waste.
Human-supplied packing notes
A contributor may share the entire supply order, the tote that became unexpectedly useful, or where they personally found the best bubble-wrap value. Those specifics can reduce uncertainty without being presented as universal advice.
Boxes by size, tape, labels, wrap, markers, covers, quantities, purchase date, and what went unused.
The exact style or size, what they kept inside it, and why it worked better than an ordinary moving box for them.
Seller, roll dimensions, price at the time, delivery experience, and the contributor’s reason for calling it a good value.
A small packing guide
Packing becomes lighter when deciding and packing are treated as different jobs.
Create simple keep, sell, donate, recycle, and dispose areas.
Label the top and at least one side with the room and a short contents note.
Keep medications, chargers, important information, basic tools, bedding, toiletries, and immediate necessities accessible.
Keep one box open for last-minute items instead of reopening finished boxes.
